These prints make use of a technique developed , or at least given a name, by printmaker Glen Alps in the 1950's. The name fused the greek word 'colla'
meaning glue, with 'graph' meaning draw.
A collagraph is a printed image made by glueing paper, sand or fabric or in fact anything that produces a texture, to a plate that can be inked up in intaglio or relief and printed on an etching or a relief press.

The prints in this series were made from litter and rubbish picked up on the way to and from the studio transforming humble waste material into something unique. The series is ongoing and developing.
